SATA & PATA to USB High Speed Mass Storage Adapter.
SPUMA is a unique device that allows a USB Mass Storage Class device to be hooked up to a standard IDE or SATA Host port. Normally, this would be quite a silly thing to do, as computers are rife with USB ports. However, for forensics works, it is an incredibly bad idea to hook a random mass storage device with evidence up to any old USB port on a forensics PC.

Some form of write protection should be used for the USB mass storage device. With SPUMA, you can use your existing SATA or PATA write protection to examine a USB mass storage device. Most importantly, SPUMA moves data at USB HIgh Speed rates. In fact, we have clocked it at over 30MB per second transfer transfer rates.
